How to conduct the 20th Annual Spirit of Math International Contest in your school
This process is only for principals of schools located in the US and in Pakistan.
If you are based in Canada, the contest will be held on March 1, 2019, in various locations across the country. If you want to register your child to the Spirit of Math International Contest, please click here.
If you are based in the United States or in Pakistan, it is mandatory that the Spirit of Math International Contest is held at your school on March 1, 2019.
The contest is being offered as an after-school event that is 30 minutes long for grades 1 and 2, and 45 minutes long for grades 3 and 4.
All host schools are required to create an online profile to register their students for the contest(s). Through this online profile, host schools will be able to add students participating in the contest(s) and complete payments. All host schools are required to collect registration fees from parents.
Host schools must administer and invigilate the contests according to Spirit of Math rules. Contest rules will be added on the front cover of each contest paper.
To prepare your students for the Spirit of Math International Contest, practice material (including previous contest questions, and contest preparation books) is available here.
The contest will be marked using the Spirit of Math scanning App. A link to download the scanning App will be emailed to you a few weeks prior to the contest. For your convenience the scanning App will be available for download for both iOS and Android.
All students registered through your school will receive a certificate of participation and have the opportunity to achieve placement on the Spirit of Math National Mathematics Honour Roll. First place medals will be awarded for each grade and a Certificate of Distinction will be awarded to all students who achieve Honour Roll status.
Spirit of Math certificates and medals will be mailed out to your school by the Spirit of Math Contest Team.
